I have really been enjoying all the positive feedback you've all given me on my writing activity freebies. I am referring to the way I have my students plan their writing on a tree map and then use a writing web to organize their thoughts. Finally, they copy their essay onto pretty stationary. My students have been writing superior essays and I couldn't be any prouder. I have taught them how to write a thesis statement (topic sentence) and how to make their writing more exciting by using strong verbs and descriptive attributes. Even my kindergartners know all about them! I also love that they are transferring this knowledge into other writing activities. They are focused and organized and I love reading their work.

I am always looking for ways to get ahead of the game in my planning. I like to create activities that my students will be able to use for the whole year or for part of the year. I like knowing that my stations are already planned and that my students are familiar with how to do the activities.
