Who loves Caralyn Buehner books besides me?
After my two week vacation, my students will enjoy some fun activities based on all three books.
Kindergartens will respond to the stories, write the room, label, describe, and write sentences. Each story comes with a writing activity that can be made into class books with colored or black and white covers.
First and second graders will respond to the stories, write words in ABC order, sort nouns, verbs, and adjectives, put together compound words, and play a reading comprehension / grammar game. All of the activities contain words from the stories.
I am so excited for this unit because Caralyn Buehner books always excite my students and bring out their creativity!

I love Snowmen at Night! Especially since I live in Florida, and my students have no real concept of snowmen at day OR night, this is a fun way to study and learn about them! I teach kindergarten :)

Oh my goodness my kids have fallen in love with Snowmen at Christmas. We're doing a reader's theatre of that story for our Christmas Program. I'd love the 1/2 grade version. I teach 3 grade in rural Alaska so I'm always looking for ways to differentiate my activities.
