Kindergarten Common Core Language Review Sheets

I have really been enjoying my First Grade Language Review Sheets.

My students complete one about every 2 weeks. They cover the latest language standards. You can read more about how I use them here.

I have been asked, several times if I would make something similar for kindergarten. Well, I started making them about 2 months ago and I have been using them in my classroom for several weeks. I am now ready to share them with all of you. I wanted to be sure they were perfect before I put them in my store.

Click here to see them in my store.

I created these language review sheets to use for assessments, small groups, interventions, one-on-one practice, self-checking center work, tutoring, and to use with a parent volunteer or classroom aide.

Here are the language standards these
 assessments cover:

I store them in a binder so they are always ready to use

Please note that this resource has been updated since the binder photo was taken.

These review sheets have been very helpful and my students are really enjoying them. I only make class sets of the recording sheet when I want to do an assessment. I laminated a bunch of them and my students use dry erase markers to complete the activities. Since they are self-checking, I just let them have at it. They have also been very helpful during my small groups and for my RTI students.

I hope you check it out and come back and let me know what you think.

    1. Thanks, Cecilia! I'm using them for K-2 and it's been very successful for both my struggling students and the ones who finish their station work early. It's another choice for them to do.

  2. I like them. Especially those with rhyming ones with 2/3 words. The "strugglers" can do the two words. vhair61215@gmail.com

    1. Thanks, Ronnie! On the rhyming pages, I like how they have to write the words on the answer sheet, not just circle them. It's giving my students practice writing, too! In my small groups, I make them memorize how to spell the words and then write them on the answer sheet, rather than copying one letter at a time. It's really helping them memorize many of the words.

  4. Hello Lori,
Your resources are wonderful. I have many of them on my wishlist for possible future purchases and up coming units. I teach a multigrade group now, so I try to spread out my resources. This looks like something many of them can use. When do you have time to sleep? Your units are jam packed with activities. Thanks for sharing, I enjoy following you.

    1. Well, I certainly hope you keep making more of your beautiful frames! The only down side is it makes it harder for me to decide which one to use because I LOVE them all!

  7. Thank you so much Lori! I love the way these look and I know I will use them in many ways. Small group, whole class and in Lieracy Stations too. Your point about habing kids try to remember the word and then write it from memory is so true. I have been doing that with my lowest group and it is helpful.
I hope more people see this unit and buy it! It is awesome!
